Love never gives up!

I know this more than anyone that love never gives up. From personal experience I know this, I spent many months away from the person I was madly in love with. It took a week of being back with that person to know he is who I am suppose to be with for the rest of my life! I’m not the perfect Christian, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, or granddaughter but I at least try my best and see where it takes me.

When Jacob first asked me to marry him of course I pictured how our life would be, where we would live, even what our children would look like. What I didn’t think about was taking the Durrett last name. Jacob and I talked to my mother and step dad at the time about the marriage thing and they were happy for us both but they told him what he needed to know about me and how I am lol. Then it was time to tell my mother and father in law, that is when I sat down with my father in law and he showed me so many things about the Durrett name, where it came from and the kind of women that have had the Durrett name and either deserved to have the last name and those who didn’t. I believe everything he said about it because it was all very true. If you run a name into the ground then what are others going to think about others who have that last name, whether you are a murderer, rapist, or anything else. Look at Elvis Presley he was VERY famous and did good things during his career but look at what his wife and daughter did to the Presley name.

In September of this year I will be married for 2 very long and hard years, I am NEVER going to write and tell you my marriage is “perfect” no marriage is perfect, ever. Does every marriage have ups and downs? Yes they do. But one thing I can tell you that you should NEVER do which are somethings I have done, post things on Facebook about your problems, if you tear down your spouse then everyone else will tear your partner down.

Love never fails and love is never a waste of time.
